West's Children's Ministries are committed to partnering with parents by helping children to develop physically, spiritually, intellectually, and socially. We work to prepare them for a life of service. We endeavor to promote and enhance their personal relationship with Jesus Christ through a fundamental knowledge of God's Word, within a wholesome, Christ-centered environment of family and friends. We employ the following methods to facilitate training in the Word of God: Nursery - [Kids' Kradle] - (birth through 2 yrs old) Care for the infant and toddler is provided through our nursery. Special attention is given to effect both cleanliness and safety. Throughout times of fun and play, these youngsters are given the milk of God's Word in song and action, while receiving the comfort of compassionate and watchful care. This ministry is provided for all regularly scheduled services. Sunday School - (Sunday Mornings) Our classes are specifically tailored for spiritual and social development at their respective age. Given a Bible-based curriculum, audio and visual aids, crafts, puppetry, and drama are used to ensure its grasp and understanding. Each child is encouraged to participate in the total learning experience, whether in the class room or the recreation areas. Kids' Church - (Sunday Mornings) Preschool - [Kids' Town] - (ages 3 through 5) This class features contemporary Christian kids' music, puppetry, games, crafts, object lessons, audio and visual aids, all poised to drive home Bible-based values and principles. Elementary School - [Kids' Factory and Kids' Factory Warehouse] - (ages 5K through 5th grade) Combining contemporary Christian kid's music, drama, puppetry, games, object lessons, audio and visual aids, these classes drive home Bible-based values and principles. Additionally, Scripture memory verses are used to reinforce their learning and enhance the nurture, cultivation and development of authentic Christ-like character. These classes feature an exciting bi-monthly "Celebration Sunday" to reward the children for their faithfulness. Additionally, these children are encouraged to participate in our "Place of Praise" Childrens' Choir. The choir is featured in our Adult Services through seasonal numbers as well as an annual Childrens' Christmas Musical. Our 4th and 5th grade children are also encouraged to serve on our "Kids In Ministry" Praise Team. They minister weekly during our Sunday Morning services. Foundations of Faith - (Wednesday Nights) Our Preschool class focuses on learning about themselves. Every Bible-truth presented enhances their understanding that they are uniquely created in God's image. As they explore their environment of family and friends, they will be assured of God's love and acceptance. We make it our purpose to provide them a "spiritual blanket of security". Our Elementary classes focus on learning about relationships. Beginning with Family relationships, they learn about their relationship with God, with the Church, with their Community, and with those who don't yet know Christ as their Lord and Savior. These classes help them to prepare for the adolescent years. Outreach West's Children's Ministries host an annual Vacation Bible School. We also participate in the Upward Unlimited Sports program. |
